National Institute of Immunology Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB-Funded Project
The National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi, is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (Project) position in a time-bound research project. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong background in biochemistry, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, or genetics, and a passion for laboratory research.
The selected candidate will work on an exciting project aimed at understanding the role of mitochondrial helicase RECQL4 in regulating SIRT3 activity through OXPHOS Complex-I stability and assembly. The project is funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) and is expected to continue until January 20, 2025.

Experience Required | – Strong internship experience in a reputed lab – Willingness to handle laboratory animals (mice) – Proficiency in standard biochemical and cell biology techniques |
Job Description | The JRF will be responsible for setting up animal crosses, carrying out genotyping, and performing biochemical and cell biology experiments related to the research project. |
Emoluments | Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023) |
Contract Terms | – Initial contract for one year, extendable based on project duration – No hostel or housing facility provided – Candidates must clearly state their category (SC/ST/OBC/PH) with documentary proof |
