The Institute of Bioresources & Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, has announced openings for two critical positions under the project titled “Sustainable Utilization of Bio-resources Towards Bio-entrepreneurship and Socioeconomic Development of Manipur.”
These positions are ideal for candidates passionate about contributing to the sustainable development of bio-resources in Manipur, with a particular focus on bio-entrepreneurship. The positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project.

| Job Profile | Description |

| Project Associate (01 Position) | Fellowship: ₹31,000 + 8% HRA for candidates qualifying through National Eligibility Tests like CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or equivalent. For others, the fellowship is ₹25,000 + 8% HRA. Duration: 03 years or until project completion. Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Agronomy, Agriculture, Natural Product Chemistry, or Biotechnology. Desirable Experience: Minimum one year of work experience in cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants and oil extraction processes. Age Limit: 35 years. |
| Field Assistant (05 Positions) | Fellowship: ₹20,000 + 8% HRA. Duration: 03 years or until project completion. Essential Qualifications: B.Sc. in Agriculture, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, or Biotechnology. Limit: 30 years. |
Application Process
Interested candidates must submit a filled application form along with necessary documents such as mark sheets, certificates, and experience certificates. Applications can be submitted both as hard copies to the Senior Administrative Officer, IBSD, Imphal, and via email to ibsd.recruitment@gmail.com within 15 days of the advertisement date.
- The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidatesshall
not claim for regular appointment either in IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi. - No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
- The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as perGoI norms.
