JRF/SRF Job Opportunity at the School of Biotechnology at Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
The School of Biotechnology at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under a SERB-DST funded research project titled “Transcriptional engineering of a fast-growing marine cyanobacterium Synechococcus sp. PCC 11901 towards efficient metabolites production.”
This project, sanctioned for a period of three years (2022-2025), is under the guidance of Prof. Pratyosh Shukla. The position is temporary and will conclude with the project. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields, who have cleared NET or GATE, are eligible for the JRF position. Those applying for SRF must also have two years of post-Master’s research or teaching experience with published papers. The age limit for JRF is 28 years, while for SRF, it is 32 years, with age relaxations as per government norms.
