The National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (Project) under a DBT-funded project focused on investigating the impact of sleep deprivation on memory deficits involving long non-coding RNAs and its implications in Alzheimer’s Disease.
The role requires a candidate with a strong background in natural sciences, agricultural sciences, engineering, technology, or medicine, with additional experience in specific research techniques.

| Essential Qualification | Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, MVSc, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university with at least 60% marks. |
| Desirable Qualification | Experience in mouse behavior analysis, whole-cell patch-clamp recordings, next-generation sequencing data analysis, or quantitative image analysis. Expertise in at least one of these areas is necessary. |
| Fellowship | – ₹31,000 + 16% HRA per month for candidates who have qualified national-level examinations (CSIR-UGC-NET, GATE, JGEEBILS, DBT/ICMR-JRF, etc.). – ₹25,000 + 16% HRA per month for candidates who do not meet the above criteria. |
| Age Limit | Maximum 35 years (as of the last date of application submission). |
| Tenure | One year, renewable for two more years based on performance review. |
