Candidates must go through the detail advertisement available in CSIR – IMMT website before submission of application. The candidates are required to send the duly filled in application along with self-attested copies of all the required documents / certificates in a single pdf file to the E-Mail ID’s given against each post code (in column no 8). Applications received by any other mode other than prescribed in above will be summarily rejected. Resume/Bio-data/CV will not be considered as Application. The last date for receipt of application is 20.09.2024. Applications received after the stipulated date will not be considered.

General Information/Condition:

  1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. All the above posts are tenable at CSIR – IMMT, Bhubaneswar. The project staff may be required to travel and stay to different places outside the Bhubaneswar as per the need of the project.
  3. The engagement of project staffs would be governed under various CSIR (including NMITLI, OLP, MLP, industry sponsored, contract/consultancy/sponsored projects etc.) and non-CSIR funded projects.
  4. Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other criteria.
  5. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post need to apply separately for each position.
  6. The date for determining age/essential qualification and experience shall be the last date of submission of application.
  7. Result awaiting candidates are not eligible for apply.
  8. The relaxation in the age limit for the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ST/PwBD/Women and the category of OBC shall be 05 years and 03 years respectively or as per Govt. of India instructions issued in this regard from time to time.
  9. Date of birth entered in the high school certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned board/council will be accepted by CSIR – IMMT. Candidates should also note that once a date of birth has been claimed by them and entered in the records of CSIR – IMMT for the purpose of appearing the interview, no change will be allowed subsequently on any grounds, whatsoever. If on verification at any
    subsequent stage, any variation is found in their date of birth from the one entered in their High School Certificate or equivalent certificate, the candidature of the candidate concerned, will be rejected.
  10. Category once mentioned by the candidates in the appropriate place of application
    form will be treated as final.
  11. The applications received will be screened for short-listing the candidates as per the criteria fixed by the Competent Authority. Mere fulfilling of essential qualification by itself would not entail any right to be called for interview.
  12. Eligible applicants will be interviewed online and the date and time of online interview will be intimated in due course of time. Applicants are requested to follow the CSIR – IMMT website regularly for any update.
  13. Engagement under any of these positions shall be on behalf of the sponsoring agency and shall be temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project or 06 years (total period of engagement under one project and/or combination of different projects) whichever is earlier. Further, such engagement, directly or indirectly, shall not provide any right/claim for regularization for permanent post of CSIR.
  14. Engagement may be terminated at any time on a notice of one month from either side or one month Emoluments in lieu thereof.
  15. Based on the performance of the candidates, Selection committee will recommend final selection and may also make Panels for operation in future depending on the need of the projects.
  16. CSIR – IMMT reserves the right not to fill up the position (s), if it so desired by the Competent Authority. The number of position(s) and the duration of engagement may increase/decrease as per the requirement of the Institute. The decision of the Institute shall be final in this regard. Interim enquiries will not be entertained. Applicants are requested to check CSIR – IMMT website from time to time for any further update in this regard.
  17. The total period of engagement of any project personnel under one project and/or combination of different projects, either in the same laboratory and/or different laboratories of CSIR cumulatively taken together shall not exceed 6 years. However, the project personnel shall be allowed to continue beyond 06 years only in case of contract/consultancy/sponsored projects funded by Public Sector Under Takings (PSUs), Industries, Start-ups, and Individual entrepreneurs, that are 12 months or less duration. In such an event, the total period of engagement of any project personnel under one project and/or combination of different projects, either in the same laboratory and/or different laboratories of CSIR, cumulatively taken together shall not exceed 07 years.
  18. In case of non-CSIR funded projects including those funded by international agencies, the concerned funding agencies’ guidelines shall be applicable. In case of non-availability of such guidelines, the one framed by CSIR shall be applicable.
  19. If any candidate is currently employed, he/she will have to furnish No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer either along with the application or at the time of joining.
  20. Unless otherwise mentioned, equivalent/higher degrees shall not be considered as essential qualification for any position.
  21. Women project personnel shall be eligible for maternity leave of 180 days and the male project personnel shall be eligible for paternity leave of 15 days only in case of two surviving children as per CSIR norms. Further, the project staff shall be paid the stipend for the period of aforesaid leave only after re-joining the office after
    availing such leave and submission of relevant medical reports/documents. The project personnel are entitled to avail leaves as per extant rules of CSIR, i.e., 12 days of leave (at the rate of one day leave per month). Any leave availed beyond this shall be without emoluments calculated on pro-rata basis.
  22. The above positions are purely temporary and initial offer for engagement in any project shall be for a period of one year or up to the duration of the project whichever is earlier. However, the engagement may be extended or curtailed depending upon the duration of the project and (or) satisfactory performance of the
    candidate.
  23. The original documents including educational qualification, birth/SSLC certificate, category and experience certificate etc., in respect of selected candidate will be verified at the time of joining. The joining of the selected candidates in the project is subject to verification of all the original certificates/documents. The applicant’s candidature would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification and production of self-attested photocopies of all relevant certificates/documents. In case, it is detected at any stage of engagement or thereafter that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/ doctored/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature shall stand cancelled automatically without any further notice.
  24. A candidate found guilty of seeking support for his/her candidature by offering illegal gratification or applying pressure on any person connected with the conduct of recruitment process or found indulging in any type of malpractice in course of the selection or otherwise shall be disqualified for the engagement.
  25. No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained. The decision of the Director, CSIR – IMMT will be final and binding.
  26. Director, CSIR-IMMT reserves all rights to cancel the recruitment of any or all of the positions advertised above at any stage.

How to Apply

  1. The candidates are required to download the application form annexed with this advertisement from CSIR – IMMT website and should fill the application form very carefully and sign it.
  2. The candidates are required to send the scanned copies of following certificates/documents as per the following order in a single pdf file to the prescribed e-mail ID specified against each post code.

    • v. Self-attested photocopy of CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR/NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship)/DBT/DST or GATE certificate etc. as per the advertisement.
    • vi. Self-attested photocopy of “No Objection certificate” (if applicable).
    • vii. Self-attested Photocopy of caste certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority as prescribed by Government of India.
