The Division of Genetics at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. This role is part of an ANRF-funded project titled “Unravelling the candidate genomic regions regulating multi-flowering in cultivated lentil (Lens culinaris L.) through RNA-Seq and QTL-Seq approaches using a RIL population.”

| Essential Qualifications | Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences (e.g., Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Plant Science, Life Sciences) OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Courses (e.g., Genetics and Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Bioinformatics) along with: <ul><li>Qualification through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship, Assistant Professorship) or GATE</li><li>Selection through national-level exams conducted by central government departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, etc.</li></ul> |
| Desirable Qualifications | Experience in molecular markers and proficiency in computer skills |
| Age Limit | Maximum age 35 years (age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & women, 3 years for OBC) |
| Contract Duration | Initially for one year, extendable based on performance until project completion |
