The Central University of Rajasthan’s Department of Microbiology is seeking applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a SERB-DST sponsored research project titled “Upcycling of chitin rich residual resources for targeted production of organonitrogen chemicals.”
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the SERB-DSTNew Delhi (Govt. of India) sponsored research project entitled “Upcycling of chitin rich residual resources for targeted production of organonitrogen chemicals” at the Department of Microbiology, Central University of Rajasthan, Bandarsindri, Ajmer, Rajasthan. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with project. Position is initially available for one year, which may be extendable based on the candidate’s performance on yearly basis.

Qualification
- The applicant must have a Master’s degree in the relevant branch of Science/ Technology or equivalent with CGPA not below 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks (where CGPA is not awarded). Freashers and highly motivated, research oriented candidates are encouaregd to apply.Â
- Candidate should have cleared UGC/CSIR-NET, GATE or any other national level exam conducted by national agencies like DBT, DST, ICAR, ICMR, DAE, MHRD, DRDO, IIT, IISER etc.Â
- Relevant hands-on laboratory experience and strong back ground in the area of biocatalysis, molecular biology and biochemistry are encouraged to apply.Â
- Research experience in the relevant area, supported by publications in high impact peer reviewed international journals would be a plus.Â
- Fellowship: As per DST rules. (INR 37,000/- pm (consolidated)) Duration: One year (May be extendable based on performance)Â
