Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a DBT-funded project on “Role Of Tumor Derived Heme In Cancer Progression” at the Department of Human Genetics, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and Technology.

Job Responsibilities– Conduct in vitro and ex vivo cell culture assays
– Collect and curate clinical samples
– Design and perform genetic knockdown experiments
– Write progress reports and manuscripts
Essential QualificationMSc in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science, Life Sciences, or equivalent disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks or CGPA
Desirable Experience– Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, gene knockdown assays, immunohistochemistry
– Scientific writing skills
– Commitment towards a PhD degree
DurationThree years or till the end of the project
Monthly Emoluments₹37,000 + HRA for candidates with CSIR-NET/UGC-NET/GATE/ICAR-JRF or NET/DBT-JRF, CUET/CUCET for PhD, or other equivalent national level examinations
Upper Age Limit28 years
