About Federation of Asian Biotech Associations
The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA), established in 2004, is a non-profit organization registered under the Indian Societies Act, 1860. FABA has launched two main wings, FABA Academy and FABA Entrepreneurship. FABA Academy, officially launched on 19th February 2020, empowers the students in Life Sciences with career guidance and skill development activities. FABA Entrepreneurship launched on 18th August 2022, with inaugural event to raise awareness of big-ticket investments in health-tech startups.

We encourage applications that demonstrate basic and applied research with the potential or demonstrated utility for addressing unmet needs, as evidenced by peer-reviewed scientific publications, patents, or feasibility product studies.
Who Can Nominate?
- Peer Nominations: Professors, colleagues, and research institutions are invited to nominate doctoral students whose scientific innovations have the potential to make a significant impact in the life sciences sector.
- Self-Nominations: Motivated doctoral students, are encouraged to nominate themselves if they are pioneering significant advancements in their fields.
Eligibility Requirements
- Students pursuing Ph.D. or those who have submitted their thesis or those who received Ph.D. award (not later than 6 months) are eligible to apply.
- Patent filed that leads to Translational Research outcomes for societal application
- Applicants must include an endorsement letter from their Ph.D. supervisor or institutional heads towards Ph.D. registration/thesis submission/award with a copy of patent certificate.
- Submit a 1-2 page summary of your innovative discoveries as an online application, following the provided format.
